Purchasing Restricted Items

How restricted purchases work

Some items we sell are restricted to qualified professionals, or carry an agency title or marking (POLICE, SHERIFF, and similar). These require proof of eligibility before we can ship.

You can complete your order normally. If an item needs verification, we will email you after the order is placed and hold fulfilment until we have what we need. Nothing ships until it is on file, and you can cancel for a full refund at any point before then.

There are three ways to satisfy a restriction:

  1. Send a copy of your department-issued identification card
  2. Send a letter of authorization on department letterhead, signed by a supervising officer, confirming your employment
  3. Have the item shipped to your department or agency address

Law Agency

This item must ship to a law enforcement agency address.

Law Enforcement ID

This item can ship to a law enforcement agency address. Otherwise a copy of a department-issued identification card is required.

Restricted Title or Marking

This item carries an agency name, rank or title that is restricted. Ship it to your department address, or send a copy of your department-issued identification.

Restraints

We may require proof of occupation before this item ships.

Certification Required

This item is manufactured for certified instructors or similarly credentialed professionals. We will ask for proof of current certification before shipping.

Baton

This item is restricted, and what is required depends on where it is going. We check your order against your delivery address before anything ships, and we will email you if we need something from you. If we cannot ship it to your address, we cancel that item and refund it in full.

Stun Gun

This item is restricted, and what is required depends on where it is going. We check your order against your delivery address before anything ships, and we will email you if we need something from you. If we cannot ship it to your address, we cancel that item and refund it in full.

Defense Spray (OC)

This item is restricted, and what is required depends on where it is going. We check your order against your delivery address before anything ships, and we will email you if we need something from you. If we cannot ship it to your address, we cancel that item and refund it in full.

Automatic Knife

This item is restricted, and what is required depends on where it is going. We check your order against your delivery address before anything ships, and we will email you if we need something from you. If we cannot ship it to your address, we cancel that item and refund it in full.

Night Vision and Thermal

We ship night vision and thermal imaging inside the United States only, and we may need to confirm the delivery address before the item ships. If we cannot ship to your address, we cancel that item and refund it in full.

If we cannot ship something

You are never charged for an item we cannot send. We review restricted items against your delivery address before anything leaves us, we contact you if something is needed, and we refund in full anything we are unable to ship. You can cancel a held item at any point before it ships.

Sending your credentials

Email your document to sales@code4uniforms.com with your order number in the subject line. We accept a photograph or scan. We use it only to verify eligibility for that order, and we delete it once your order has shipped.
